RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and, by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

The track shall be empowered to permit MINOR deviation from any of the specifications herein or imposed any further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. THEIR DECISION IS FINAL.

SPECIAL NOTICE: THE TRACK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE OR AMEND ANY CLASS RULE TO EQUAL COMPETITION.

THE DECISIONS OF THE SPEEDWAY OFFICIALS ON THE INTERPRETATIONS OF THE RULES, LAP SCORING, FLAGGING, AND/OR RACE PROCEDURES WILL BE FINAL IN ALL CLASSES!

ANY INJURY OCCURING AT THE TRACK MUST BE REPORTED TO THE TRACK OFFICIALS BEFORE LEAVING THE SPEEDWAY.

DRIVERS MUST KNOW WHAT EACH FLAG MEANS

(Any driver that does not obey a flag directed at him, will at the descretion of the flagman, not be scored) ALSO (Any driver that does not obey the lineup as directed by the lap scorer will at the descretion of scorer not be scored).

THE HATFIELD-McCOY SPEEDWAY OFFICIALS WANT TO WELCOME YOU TO THE SPEEDWAY FOR THE 2005 RACING SEASON. WE HOPE THAT ALL DRIVERS, DRIVERS FAMILIES, FRIENDS, AND FANS HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE TIME AT THE HATFIELD-McCOY SPEEDWAY DURING THE 2005 SEASON.

RULES cannot be made to fit everyone's needs or desires. However, if the competitors wish to race at the HATFIELD-McCOY SPEEDWAY, they must be willing to FOLLOW and KNOW the rules stated in the following pages.

Safety Rules

Drivers must know how to use it. DO NOT RACE without this in the car and easy to get to. FIRE SUIT: Full body fire retardant racing suit required. One or two piece OK. Must have on any time you are on the track. Required. HELMET: 95 Shell-Approved or equivalent required. Full face helmet recommended with tear offs. Must have on when on the track. Required.

FUEL PUMPS: Absolutely NO ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS ALLOWED!!!!!!!!!!!

GLASS: All glass must be removed from car.

DOORS: Must be bolted or welded shut.

WINDOW NET: All cars must have a window net. Must be mounted permanently at bottom and have a quick release on the top. Window net must be approved by tech official. Should be made out of 1" wide webbing, not a ball type of net. NOT tied with any straps.

STEERING WHEELS: All cars use quick release steering wheel.

BATTERY: Battery must be mounted securely and not near the fuel cell. Battery must be in a marine type battery box and sealed away from driver. If battery is to be inside the car, it is to be boxed in away from driver.

DRIVESHAFTS: All driveshafts must be steel and must be painted white. It must also have a safety loop installed within 9 inches of the front u joint. Should be at least 1/4 inches thick steel loop.

BODY OF CAR: Must have NO SHARP edges inside or outside.

SAFETY RULES FOR ALL CLASSES

NOTE TO ALL DRIVERS: We want the racing season to be SAFE and enjoyable to all. Your car will have a SAFETY inspection and will from time to time be checked again. It is more important to be SAFE, than anything else in this business. If you find a way to make your car SAFER and we have not listed that in these rules, or overlooked by us, PLEASE NOTIFY THE TRACK.

FUEL CELL: Mandatory in all classes. Must be per tech instructions and drawing.

RACING SEAT: Aluminum racing seat required in all classes. MUST be mounted to the roll cage and not to the floor. Seat must be approved by tech official.

SEAT BELTS: Four (4) point racing harness required, Fire (5) point recommended. Must be mounted to roll cage, not the body. Check seat belt for safety and date information which should be a limit of four (4) years on seat belt. (This will be checked the first race) This is the responsibility of the driver.

BODY OF CAR: Must have NO SHARP edges inside or outside.

BUMPERS: All cars must have factory bumpers. No homemade bumpers allowed. No reinforcing of bumpers allowed. If car has an aftermarket nose piece only small diameter, thin walled pipe can be used to form a nose piece. No gas or triple strength pipe allowed to be used for bumper. Bumper should be able to collapse to absorb the impact, not so stiff that it bends the frame of the car. Bumpers should be a crush zone, not a battering RAM!!!

WHEEL STUDS: All cars required to use 1/2 inch wheel studs and 1" lug nuts.

WHEELS: Racing wheels are recommended in every class.

WEIGHT: Any weight that is added to car must be securely fastened to car. It must be painted white with the car # painted on it.

ROLL BAR: Must have four (4) bars inside of drivers door and three (3) bars in other door. Must be at least 1/2 diameter and .095 inches thick.

ROLL BARS PAD: All roll bars inside the drivers compartment must be padded. Any bar that the driver is close to must be padded with roll bar pads.

WINDSHIELD SCREEN: All cars must have 3 bars in the windshield opening and a wire mess screen in place of the windshield.

VERY IMPORTANT!!

DRIVERS: MUST READ AND KNOWALL RACE PROCEDURES.

RACE PROCEDURES

DRIVERS, OWNERS, CREWMEMBERS: Please, familiarize yourself with these rules so at NO occasion will it be necessary to question any official or employee regarding these rules.

FLAGMAN: FULL CONTROL of race PROCEDURES, his decision is FINAL.

FLAGSTAND: OFF limits. DO NOT GO ON FLAGSTAND. This means ANYONE. Penalty at the descretion of the FLAGMAN. (Disqualified, Points deduction, suspension, banned or fined) This will not be tolerated by ANYONE.

TOWER: OFF limits. ANYONE, except track employees and track officials. Penalty at the descretion of track officials. (Disqualified, Points deduction, suspension, banned or fined)

Drivers responsible for crew, and family members in pit area

LEAVING PIT AREA after race has begun: NOT allowed due to SAFETY.

If a race car driver wishes to leave, he must notify the pit official and that official must notify the FLAGMAN. The flagman will make the decision of when it is safe to leave.

Due to safety issue, NO PERSON is ALLOWED to cross the track during a race. If anyone crosses the track, during a race, the penalty will be at the descretion of the track officials. (Points deduction if racer or crew, or banned from pit area). Drivers do not pull your trailers out of your parking space until race is over. This causes a problem with the cars coming into the pit area. Penalty for this action at the descretion of track officials. (Points deduction possible)

NO CARS, allowed on the track for warm up or any reason unless directed to do so by track official. The FLAGMAN must be on the flag stand.

NOTICE: Anyone entering or leaving the pit area must do so at the main pit entrance. Do NOT enter the pit at any other GATE. Do NOT jump fence. This will result in being banned from pit area.

SPECIAL NOTICE: DRIVERS CREW MEMBERS, FAMILY AND FANS!

Concerning wrecks: The track understands how important family members are. When a wreck or problem happens on the track, NO ONE IS ALLOWED ON THE TRACK, except track personal. The only exception is if YOU are asked for assistance by track official. Otherwise DO NOT go on the track. This action will result in a penalty of the driver being disqualified for the night, additonal point deductions, or that member of the family/fan being suspended from pit area or races, at the descretion of track officials. DRIVERS, remind your crew, family and fans.

SPINNING/SPEEDING in pit area will not be tolerated. This is a safety issue. If you must go into the pit area, control your speed. There will be penalties for this action at the descretion of the track officials. (Points deduction, possible)

TWO DRIVERS/ONE CAR OR TWO CARS/ONE DRIVER: Only one driver in one car per night.(exception if an entry fee has been paid for a second car in another class) Driver may race in a class that a car has been reqistered and entry fee paid for that car. No SUBSTITUTE cars or drivers. Points go with the car and driver registered in the class. Cannot transfer points to lower or higher classes. All points are for races raced in that class. Any team that shares a car will compete in the points with the other driver.

DRIVERS that sign in on the car is the only driver allowed to drive the car that night unless the track officials are notified before the heat race. No change in drivers after heat race. The driver competing in heat race must drive the feature or be disqualified.

DRIVER'S INFORMATION SHEET: All drivers must have on file a drivers information sheet before being allowed to compete. Race participants are not employees of the track and are considered independent contractors and assume and take all responsibilities for all charges, premiums, taxes, if any payable on any funds they may receive as a result of their participation in any event at the race track. ALL DRIVER'S under the age of 18 must have a valid driver's license on record before being permitted to compete. Also, on file a driver's release form signed by parents or guardian must be signed before anyone under the age of 18 will be permitted to compete.

TRACK RESERVES THE RIGHT: To REFUSE ENTRY to anyone.

TRACK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INVERT FIELD, ANYTIME. (No questions)

PIT PASS: Any person entering the pits must have a pit pass and sign their own name to the release form. Underage requires a parent or guardian to sign release form before entering pit area. DUE TO INSURANCE REQUIREMENT: No one allowed under age of 14.

NO MIRRORS ALLOWED IN ANY CLASS (Note: No polished or mirror type dashboards,etc. allowed)

NO RADIOS IN CARS, ALLOWED IN ANY CLASS:

TWO WAY RADIOS IN PITS: All drivers (crews) that use two way radios must report this to the track officials before they are allowed in the pit area. Track reserves the right to refuse usage of two way radios in the pit area if problems conflict with the track radio systems. DISQUALIFIED if caught with radios or mirrors in cars.

TIME LIMIT of races: Flagman has full control of the time limit and laps as deemed necessary.

ROUGH DRIVING: All drivers take notice of any "first time drivers". Rough driving will NOT BE TOLERATED due to a problem you have with anyother driver. First time, heat or feature, you will go to the rear. Second time, you will go to the pit area. No questions, No discussion, spotters decision is FINAL. ANY problem with this, from racer, crew or family (driver is responsible) there will be a penalty of points and/or disqualification for the nights event.

CAUTIONS: Three in heat or feature, GO TO PIT. This includes any rough driving calls. CAUTION MEANS GO TO REAR!! Will not tolerate any discussion from Driver, crew or family concerning decision of cautions. (Drivers, you are responsible). A driver not going to rear when called for a caution will result in a penalty at the descretion of flagman. FLATS: If a flat happens on the FIRST lap ONLY (Heat or Feature) the driver will be given THREE (only) caution laps to fix flat. NO caution laps given for flats after first green lap!!! Do not speed into the pits or out of pit area!! If in the pits during green flag racing, the track official will direct when you may return to the track. Pentalty will result if driver enters track without permission from track official.

NO working on cars while on the track by crew or track personal DUE TO SAFETY. If work is necessary GO INTO THE PIT AREA.

NO personal vehicles in pit area (except those pulling race cars)

PROBLEM/SMOKING CAR: Any car track officials, spotters, notices with a problem smoking or other problem will be black flagged off the track. This is a safety issue. If problem is fixed that car may return only if problem solved.

ALCHOLIC BEVERAGES/DRUGS/WEAPONS OF ANY KIND: NOT ALLOWED OR TOLERATED on this property or this track. Penalty will be decided by track officials. PLEASE NOTIFY TRACK OFFICIAL IF THIS IS SEEN. THIS IS FOR SAFETY OF ALL.

PERSONAL PROBLEM: If you have a problem with another person LEAVE that problem at HOME. Do NOT come to the track to settle any PROBLEM. WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. The penalty, you will not like, as the track will take control of any problem.

GOING TO ANOTHER PIT AREA: If anyone decides to go to another driver's pit area, (not welcomed) you will be asked to leave. If you do not leave and a problem developes, you will be the one responsible and suffer the penalty at the descretion of the track officials. This penalty will be banned from pit area, disqualified if driver, for nights event, or if driver's crew, driver will be disqualified due to the fact the driver is responible for all crew members. The track will take control of this. If the driver or crew of the (pit area involved) leaves the area and causes a problem due to this action, then that driver is responsible and will be penalized. Stay in your pit area.

FIGHTING ON PROPERTY/PIT AREA: Won't be tolerated. Control your temper. Penalty at the descetion of track officials. (Disqualified, suspension, fined, banned) Drivers remember you are responsible for your actions, your crew and family members. Not your fans. They are responsible for their actions. Track will take control of any problem.

DRIVERS MEETING: All drivers must attend drivers meeting or start in the rear of the feature (not heat). Drivers meeting is for instructions from flagman NOT A DISCUSSION.

TRACK DECISIONS ARE FINAL: Will not tolerate any problems with drivers or crew members or family members. NO DISCUSSIONS.

DELAY, STOP,INTERFER with the race program will result in penalties of/fine/suspension/banned. This will be decided by track officials and driver will be notified. Remember DRIVERS are responsible for their actions and the actions of their crew and family members. Drivers, please inform those with you of this rule.

ANY DRIVER that (THE TRACK officials believe or makes the call) HITS/RAMS or attempts to hurt another race driver while under caution will be delt with by the track in a severe manner. THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Control your temper if you wish to race. IMPORTANT NOTICE: If any driver, crew member, driver's family, fan, (anyone) THREATENS ANY TRACK OFFICIAL OR ANY TRACK EMPLOYEE/IN ANY POSITION WILL BE DELT WITH BY TRACK MANAGER. WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS ACTION FROM ANYONE. Discussion is normal THREATS ARE NOT.

TECH AREA off limits to crew members/families/fans. FENCE around tech area OFF LIMIT to anyone (family, fans). DRIVERS, do not go to fence area. Stay in tech area. A track committee will be allowed in pit area. This committee will only watch and will not answer questions nor make decisions in tech area. The track manager is in control of committee.

PILL DRAW: Car must be in pit area. Pill draw is for position.

WALKING TRACK IN: All cars are required to walk track in. The track is only as good as track is walked in therefore ALL CARS are required to help walk track in. Failure to do so will result in penalty OF STARTING IN REAR OF HEAT OR FEATURE (Track Decision). Help walk track in when your class is called to do so.

FLAGS: ALL DRIVERS MUST KNOW THE FLAGS TO RACE. Caution means slow down. Red flag means STOP!

THREE wins in a row results in starting in rear until that cars has not finished first.

TWO cars cross at the finish line at the same time: the car nearest the infield will be the winner. This decision will be made from the flagstand by flagman and scorers and decision is final. No discussion!

COMPLAINT/PROTEST FORMS IN PIT AREA.

NOTICE: If you have a question concerning these rules, please call the track. The TRACKS INTERPRATION (ONLY) OF THESE RULES ARE FINAL. The track RESERVES the right to change, amend,or correct ANY RULE listed to equal competition.


Class Rules

STREET CLASS RULES

BODIES: American made cars only. NO STATION WAGONS or Convertibles. Rear wheel drive cars only. Paint and bodywork must be neat and car must be clean. (Track will advise in writing to any car that the track feels needs to be washed or fixed due to damage). Stock body parts or if unable to find parts your your car, you can have after market front fenders and doors and hood as long as it is stock appearing. Note: People like to see nice looking cars and AFTERMARKET parts will not make it run faster but look good. Must retain stock bumpers, front and rear. NO bracing of bumpers. If car is to be patched, must retain car shape. Patching fenders Ok. Cannot make complete fender out of sheet metal. NO sharp edges will be allowed on the car. Front inner fenders may be removed for tire clearance. All holes in the firewall (front and back) must be patched. NO sharp edges inside allowed.

NUMBERS: Must be 18" high on ROOF and DOORS. ((bottom of number should be at the passenger side of roof). No Prismatic Numbers. Numbers must be visible to score keepers. If not visible driver will be notified to correct. Note: Dark numbers on light color cars, Light numbers on dark color cars. Silver numbers must be outlined. 6" number on right front headlight area, and 6" number on right rear tail light area. No three numbers or half numbers.

ROLLCAGE: Roll cage must have 4 bars in the drivers door and 3 bars in the passenger door. Must have 2 bars diagonally from top to cage to rear of car. Must have 3 bars in front of driver with wire mesh for a windshield. No bars to the car except for a radiator hoop. (not to extend past radiator) NO bracing of the bumpers. No bars may go to the front fenders. ANY CAR found to have BRACES going to the front bumper or fenders must be removed before racing.

WINDOW NET REQUIRED: Must be mounted permanently at bottom with quick release on top. No ball type net. Not tied with straps.

FIRE EXTINGUISHER: DO NOT RACE without a (five) 5 pound fire extinguisher minimum, and required mounted and fastened in easy reach of driver. Must know how to use. This will be checked.

SEAT: Aluminum seat required. Must be mounted from the cage NOT to the floor.

SEAT BELT: Must have 4 point racing belt. Must be mounted to cage not the floor.Check date of seat belts (4years time limit)

FIRE SUIT AND HELMET REQUIRED BEFORE RACING. Check date of helmet. This is a safety issue.

FUEL CELL: Must have fuel cell PER DRAWING ATTACHED. Must be mounted in trunk. No fuel lines inside of drivers compartment, unless ran thru a pipe from front to rear and sealed away from driver. Pipe must go from trunk to firewall with no openings. Gas line inside of pipe. Track reserves the right to obtain a gas sample from any car at any time. The driver will supply this sample from the fuel cell. No results will be made available. Don't ask.

REAR ENDS: NO AFTERMARKET REAR END HOUSINGS!!!! ALLOWED THIS YEAR: OEM 9" Ford in G.M. or OEM GM 10 or 12 Bolt in Ford. Condition: OEM rear ends may be used and track width and all suspension components be retained in orginal stock position for that particular model of car. Warning: OEM ONLY! No Posi Trac Rear Ends. Any gear ratio Ok.

BRAKES: No rear disc brakes. Must have brakes FRONT AND REAR. All cars must have 4 (four) wheel brakes. Will be checked. NO BRAKES, NO RACE.

CHASSIS: Stock frames and stock suspenion only. Unibody cars may tie frames together for roll bar mounting. No altering of frames. If frame is rusty it may be plated with angle iron but can not be replaced with square tubing. Must be able to see original frame. Suspension must be STOCK for that car. (Leaf spring on leaf spring cars and coil springs on coil spring cars) Wheelbase must be STOCK. NO aftermarket springs or shocks. Will be disqualified. STOCK MEANS STOCK!!!

BRAKE MASTER CYLINDERS: STOCK production master cylinders only. No duel master cylinders of any type allowed. STOCK brake parts only.

TRANSMISSIONS: Automatic or Standard OK. Automatic must have working torque converter and must be able to idle in gear without the engine stalling or car moving. Standard must have STOCK type CLUTCH. NO racing clutches and NO truck clutches.

DRIVESHAFTS: Must be steel and painted white. Must have safety loop no more than 6" from the front of the driveshaft.

RADIATOR: Stock production or Aluminum or Racing radiator.

IGNITION SYSTEMS: Stock ignition systems only. NO MSD or aftermarket distributors. No aftermarket coils. STOCK ONLY!!

STEERING: STOCK steering boxes only located in stock location. STOCK power steering pumps, pulleys ONLY. NO aftermarket pumps, pulleys. Stock tie rod ends. Stock means STOCK!!

WATER PUMPS: STOCK ONLY. No racing water pumps!

FUEL PUMPS: STOCK mechanical fuel pumps. NO electric fuel pumps allowed!!!

CARBURATOR: One STOCK production 2 barrel carb. The only modification being to remove the choke plate. NO polishing or grinding (NONE) NO Holly Carbs. STOCK MEANS STOCK!!!

INTAKE MANIFOLDS: STOCK(cast iron only) production intake manifolds. NO grinding of manifolds (NONE) No adapters allowed. STOCK CAST IRON!!

AIR CLEANER: Any type of air cleaner is ok. Cannot go thru hood!!

No functional hood scoops. Hood must be on car before racing.

WHEEL STUDS AND NUTS: ( MANDATORY ) 1/2" wheel studs and 1" lug nuts are mandatory. Safety reasons (wheel coming off).

WHEELS: 10" inch max. width steel wheels. Racing wheels recommended. May use bead lock on RIGHT REAR ONLY!. No extremely reversed wheels.

TIRES: Note: You may use either: 60 series max. NO racing tires. Racing recaps Ok. Max size P 275 60 15. All tires must be approved by track official. "OR" NOTE:You may use: McCreary or Hoosier DOT tires, recaps or E-Mod Tires OK. P 305 Maximum 10"inch tread width. NOTE: some P305 tires EXCEED the 10" MAX. tread width so BE CAREFUL when purchasing your tires.

BATTERY: Must be mounted solid. Must be in a sealed battery box. NOT IN TRUNK. If mounted in the drivers compartment, MUST have a metal cover to separate battery from the driver. SAFETY!!!

PUSHING CAR ON TRACK or IN PITS: During Heat or Feature, ONE (first) TIME in pits or on track allowed. If push truck pushes car in pits or on track second time (any reason) go to the rear. Third time, that car will go to the pits. Cars must start or move on own to race. Exception: If another car directly behind is willing to push start or help that car to move due to a problem, then that car may continue to race.

EXHAUST: NOTE: YOU MAY USE EITHER: 1 5/8 Street Type Headers OK. Must have bolt on collectors and gaskets!! 24" inch of 2"inch inside diam. pipe from headers. Must not be pointed toward ground. Notice: Measurement will be checked. NO HOLES in pipe. DO NOT hook pipes together in H. Both pipes MUST NOT be connected in any way. OR YOU MAY HAVE STOCK MANIFOLDS.

ENGINE: Must be same manufacture as car. (Chevy in olds OK) Any size engine OK (this year). Must be STOCK. NO roller rockers. Aftermarket valve covers OK. NO crome parts. Must have stock production heads. NO Bo=ties, Darts or SVO. NO grinding. NONE. STOCK oil pan only. No left turn pans. Engine must appear to be stock on visible inspection and if "track official" requires a more detailed inspection (the mechanic or driver must comply) and help with such inspection. If a car wins and the above is required, then the inspection will be arranged after the race and the decision on winning will be delayed until inspection is completed. STOCK!!

WEIGHT: All cars must weigh at least 3400 pounds after the race with driver. No exceptions. Track Scales rule. All added weight must be painted white.

CAR INSPECTION: Each car must be inspected. If found with a problem, that driver must correct the problem and have the car re-inspected before allowed to race. Disqualified (points & money)

FLAT: First lap ONLY. The driver will be given three laps and must go to the rear. If flat after first lap, GO TO PITS. Only allowed to return under caution or at direction of track official.

THREE WIN RULE: Any driver that wins three in a row, must start in the rear of the next race. If driver is able to win from rear, that driver must start in rear until he has lost a race. The track reserves the right to add weight to this car.

ENGINE TEAR DOWN: There is no engine claim rule. The tear down rule applies as follows: ($100 paid in advance of tear down. Notify track official within 10 minutes of finish of feature race.

l. Must have raced the last 2 races prior to teardown.
2. Must finish no lower than 4th in the feature.
3. May tear down only the car that finishes in front of you.
4. Driver and Mechanic will assist in tear down.
5. If Driver refuses teardown, he will be disqualified for the night (no money, position or points awarded). Money given back to protester and also position awarded to protester.
6. Track reserves the right to inspect car (the next race) without fee.
7. If car is inspected and found legal, money goes to driver to replace gaskets, etc.

NOTE: Inspection will consist of Carb, Distributor, intake, port work in heads and intake, rocker arms, valve springs and all items listed under engine, exhaust and any item tech person wishes to look at according to rules listed in rule book.

Driver/Crew: If you do not see a rule in this rule book and have a question, DON'T take and chance and do it because you consider it a GRAY area. Call and Ask. Drivers are required to know the rules in order to race. It is up to you the driver. THE TRACK RESERVES THE RIGHT to change or amend these rules to equal competition at any time and the drivers will be notified.

Super Street Class Rules

BODIES: American made cars only, no station wagons or convertibles. Rear wheel drive cars only. Must be neat appearing. Stock bodies only. Aftermarket front fenders and doors ok. Aftermarket hood OK, if stock appearing. After market front nose piece Ok. Must retain stock bumpers, front and rear. NO BRACING of BUMPER. Front inner fenders may be removed. All holes in firewall must be sealed. Firewall MUST remain in stock location. All holes in floorboard must be sealed. Blow proof bell housing recommended. Stock Spoiler.

NUMBERS: Must be on roof, both doors, front head light area, rear tail light area. Numbers must be highly visible. No prismatic numbers. Number on roof must face flag stand. Silver numbers must be outlined.

Note: If score person cannot read the number, that car cannot be scored. Drivers responsiblity.

ROLL CAGE: All cars must have a roll cage with 4 bars in driver's door and 3 bars in passenger's door. Must have 2 bars diagonally from top of cage to back of car, front engine hoop recommended. No BRACING of bumpers or front fenders. If a uni-body, car is to be tied together. The steel used to tie frame must not extend past original frame. If original frame is rusty it may be plated with angle iron BUT MUST be able to see original frame. No modification to frame. Must be stock dimensions.

CHASSIS: Stock frames only. Must match car. No TUBE type frames. No tube type rear or front clips. Stock only. Racing springs OK. Racing Shocks OK. No coilover shocks. No screw jacks. (If screw jacks are on the car MUST be welded up) No sliders on the rear. Spring buckets OK. Only one racing shock per wheel, with the exception of the right front. (You may add one additional shock to right front only) NO type of traction devices allowed. Panard Bar OK. Springs must mount in stock location. No moving of spring or suspension mounting points. Steel hubs only.

ENGINE: Stock production STEEL blocks only. Cast Iron Heads Only. Dart 11 and Bow Tie Heads OK. Cast Iron intakes only. Engine may be set back #1 spark plug equal to ball joint centerline. Cast Iron intake manifolds Only, dart or bowtie OK.

If firewall is altered, MUST run a blow proof bell housing. STOCK OIL systems ONLY. Only a HOLLY 600 CFM CARB. (HOLLY PART NUMBER 4776, out of box, ALLOWED). NO larger carbs. allowed. NO modifications of the carb except to remove the choke butterfly. NO additional spacers under carb!! Note: Number MUST be visible on carb. CARB will be checked with TRACK CARB TOOLS!!!

IGNITION: Stock type distributors, ONLY. NO MAG'S. MSD distributors and boxes OK. NO crank trigger type ignitions. Must run a stock appearing distributor. Racing coils OK.

EXHAUST: Headers OK. Must have bolt on collectors like street type headers. Headers cannot point straight down at ground.

ACCESSORIES: After market power steering pumps and pulleys OK. After market water pump OK. Must run a block mounted fuel pump.

AIR CLEANER: Any type of air cleaner OK. Air cleaner may not extend no more than 4" thru the original shape of hood. Must have hood on to race.

TRANSMISSIONS: Stock production standards or automatics only. Racing clutches OK but must be located in the bell housing. Direct Drive Auto. OK. NO BERTS or BRINNS. Blow proof bell housing highly recommended.

REAR ENDS: Ford 9" rear ends OK. Any ratio OK. No quick change rears. Floater housing OK. Rear end must be same width as original housing.

WHEELBASE: Must be stock for car, a 1" plus or minus tolerance will be given. (Measurement 81"inches tread to tread)

BRAKES: All cars must have working 4 wheel brakes. (3 wheel brakes optional but if wreck happens due to brakes the tech person can disqualify that car/ driver decision to use 3 with understanding of DQ issue) Rear Disc OK.

Semi-Late Class

THIS IS A LOW BUDGET CLASS. STOCK OEM PARTS WILL KEEP THIS COST DOWN AND THE COMPETITION CLOSE. STOCK MEANS "STOCK".

BODY: Ford Rangers, GM S-10s. ONLY. No club or extended cab. No long beds.

Stock dimensions and appearance must be retained. 108" wheel base. Frame must be stock in all dimensions and with NO modifications. Bed must be covered with metal with access for inspection. Firewall and floorboard must remain in stock location. Dash may be removed and inside of cab may be hulled out for roll cage installation.

No lowering of cab or bed. Cab spacers may be replaced with metal bushings.

Windshield mounting area must remain unaltered.

Remove all glass.

Doors must be welded or bolted shut.

Stock type bumpers front and rear. No reinforcement.

Tail gate required. Must retain stock appearance.

May use rear spoiler (4" maximum height).

Steering must be stock and in stock location.

TIRES: 8" maximum tire width. Approved Street DOT bias ply, Radials or Racing Re-caps on DOT casing. No mud, snow or all terrain tires. NO regrooving tires. NONE.

BODY: Four passenger compact cars (american made). No station wagons, convertibles, no front wheel drives, no rear engine cars. Just standard production 4 cylinder 4 passenger compact with rear wheel drive. Maximum rear spoiler 4" from rear deck lid. No added front spoiler or side skirts. Car must be completely stock appearing. No hulling of body. Exception: In doors for roll bar clearance. No external push bars, front or rear. Front and Rear bumpers must be stock OEM for make and model of car. No rub rails. Rubber nose cones for appearance ok. No mirrors or polished crome dash allowed. Must have tow hooks/chains on front and rear.
